Oprah Winfrey School for Girls Policy Brief
September, 2020
Oprah Winfrey’s Leadership Academy was such a fascinating topic to research. I am passionate about education and its impact on societies and individual lives. I am a huge promoter of education and higher education. I am appreciative and respect Oprah for opening such a needed school in South Africa. I choose to share this piece because it aligns with my belief. Oprah's school is an inspiring gesture we can all learn from. I hope you gain some insight on this topic and reflect on how YOU can make a difference in this world.
“Living Democracy” Reflection
September, 2020
Learn about what a living democracy is and how a slight shift in perspective can help you and your country reach their fullest potential. I live in a democratic society and promote this type of government. Our country is polarized these days and learning about a living democracy could help bring the two sides of our country together. Educating ourselves is the first step to fixing issues of climate change, racism, and many more heavy topics.
